If you ask most writers what's the hardest part of their process and many will say, editing! And as a writer I can certainly agree with them. No matter how many times I go through a manuscript I can always find something to tweak. I must limit myself or I would never publish anything. However, I have to say that as tough as editing can be there's nothing harder than waiting for my beloved manuscript to come back from my editor. Whether it's in her hands for a beta read or copy/line edit I find myself constantly checking my email for it to return - even when we have a set date. Hey, she might be done early! Right? LOL. As I type this, she's currently in possession of the final draft of Finding My Wolf, and while I don't expect it back for another 12 days, I still can't stop myself from checking my email.
Finding My Wolf was a storyline that entered my mind as I was working on the second installment of my Haunted Fate series and just wouldn't let me go. Typically, when this happens, I will draft the story out and after about ten thousand words it's out of my system. Not this time, I wrote ten thousand then another ten thousand, etc. Before I realized it, I had half a manuscript written and it still had a hold on me. Now a year later it's fully written and almost ready for launch.
I'm equally excited to read her comments as I am to release this novel to you. Fingers crossed if all goes well with the copy/edit phase Finding My Wolf will be available late February 2023. I hope you're just as excited as I am for its release!!!
Best always,
